The case against a Lafayette man, accused in the capital murder of his pregnant girlfriend, is heading to a Tallapoosa County grand jury.
Keith Ware, 30, was arrested on November 1, after human remains, believed to belong to his girlfriend Cherri Dawson, were found in Camp Hill.
Ware claims on October 8, he talked to Dawson in person. He says she was very upset about family issues, but that he left her alive the night she disappeared.
The next day Dawson's burned out car was found in Chambers County.
Investigators say DNA and statements by Ware link him to the area where Dawson's car and remains were found.
