CSU's Crowley leads Lady Cougar Classic

Columbus – Columbus State's Nikki Crowley fired a one-over par 73 to finish day one of the Lady Cougar Collegiate Classic in first place. As a team, CSU shot a 325 to sit in third. The event is being hosted by Columbus State and is being played at The Country Club of Columbus. 

Out of 62 players, only seven shot a round under 80.

UNC Pembroke leads the event after the first round with a 315. Shorter (325), CSU, Lander (332) and Queens (333) round out the top-five. 

Crowley leads by three strokes over Dana Watkins of UNC Pembroke. 

For the Lady Cougars, Kimesha Anthony and Heather Altiser both shot 12-over par 84's. 

Ciera Bagley was the final team scorer for Columbus State as she registered a 90. 

Kristin Galek had CSU's drop score in round one as she posted a 91. 

The final round of the Lady Cougar Collegiate Classic will get underway Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. ET at The Country Club of Columbus.
