COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus State has earned a trip to the NCAA Division II basketball tournament for the first time since 2006. The NCAA selection committee tabbed the Cougars as the 6th seed in the Southeast Regional to be hosted by top-seeded Montevallo.
CSU will play 3rd-seeded Anderson (SC) in the first round on Saturday, March 10.
Montevallo will face No. 8 Barton, while No. 2 seed USC Aiken will play No. 7 Wingate. The other matchup has 5th-seeded King (TN) versus No. 4 Lincoln Memorial.
The DII Elite Eight will begin March 21 at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
