Freeze warning issued before temperatures plunge

ATLANTA (AP) - Forecasters say a freeze warning will soon be in effect as temperatures are expected to plunge into the mid-20s for much of Georgia, threatening many of the plants which have already started to bloom.

The National Weather Service says the freeze warning will be in effect from 9 p.m. Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday.

It covers a large part of the state, and includes all of metro Atlanta and cities including Blairsville, Dalton, Rome, Gainesville, Athens, Dublin, Macon and LaGrange.
