Game times set for Southeast Regional

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Columbus State learned will have the honors tipping off the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional when the schedule was released on Monday afternoon.

The 6th-seeded Cougars (18-11) will take on No. 3 Anderson (S.C.) in the first game of the day on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. ET. Anderson (24-5) lost in the South Atlantic Conference title game to Wingate.

Wingate (20-11) received the 7th-seed and will take on USC Aiken (21-7) at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Pacers were eliminated in the PBC Tournament semifinals by the Cougars.

Tournament host Montevallo received the region's No. 1 seed and will play No. 8 Barton at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Falcons (24-7) defeated CSU for the Peach Belt title, while Barton (20-9) claimed the Conference Carolinas championship.

The final game on Saturday pits No. 5 King College of Tennessee (23-7) versus No. 4 Lincoln Memorial (25-5) at 9:30 p.m. ET. Both teams received at-large berths.

The winner of the Southeast Regional will advance to the Division II Elite Eight, hosted by Northern Kentucky University.
