Organizers make final preps for this year's Thunder in the Valley

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Organizers are making final preparations Friday for this weekend'sThunder in the Valley Air Show. Tons of thrilling aerial acts will be featuredat the Columbus Airport this Saturday and Sunday.

Organizers say people canexpect big crowds, great food, and fun attractions in the air and on theground. They say this is a fun, all day event for the entire family.

Doug Rozendaal, the pilotof the North American P-51C, says "Air shows are about inspiring people.People that fly airplanes are passionate people and that's inspirational. Whatyou're going to see at this air show this weekend are some of the best in theworld."

This year's main attractions are the planes featured in theTuskegee Airmen movie Red Tails and other military aircrafts. 

Gates open at 10 am andthe show starts at 1 pm. Advanced tickets are $8 and $10 the day of the show.Children under six get in free. Free parking and a shuttle service willbe available. 

Organizers tell us the show will go on rain or shine.
