SMITH COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

UPDATE: DPS Officials tell us the wreck has been cleaned up and cleared. Traffic is now moving smoothly.

UPDATE: Officials tell KLTV a crew will soon be on the scene to clean up the wreck, at which time the interstate will only have one lane open.

DPS Officials have confirmed with KLTV that an 18 wheeler caught fire on I-20 just east of FM 757, near mile marker 573.

The truck is in the westbound lanes of I-20 and officials say traffic is moving at this time, but it is moving slowly.

The cause of the fire is not certain, but it is believed to be a problem with the fuel line. The driver said he smelled smoke and when he pulled over, noticed flames coming from the engine.

So far no injuries have been reported.
