COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The Muscogee County School Board voted unanimously Monday night to no longer provide bus transportation to kids who don't go to the school in his or her district.
Parents will have to provide a ride for children if they want them to continue going to their school. However, seniors next school year as well as kids at magnet schools will still be able to ride the bus.
Leaders with the school district say the changes will save them almost half-a-million dollars in fuel costs over a four year period.
The changes will go into effect this coming fall.
