Who's got jackpot fever? Mega Millions tops $363M

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Increased sales have pushed Tuesday night's Mega Millions jackpot to an estimated $363 million. Obviously, no one matched the winning numbers Friday night. This jackpot has rolled 17 times.

The largest jackpot payout was $360 million on March 6, 2007 – just five years ago.  There were two winners reported. One in Georgia and another in New Jersey.

Tuesday's winner will have the option of taking home $13 million a year for 26 years or taking a single cash payment of $259 million.

Georgia Lottery officials say more than $13 billion has been returned to Georgia's education. Georgia lottery profits fund the state's HOPE scholarship and Pre-K programs. More than 1.4 million college students have received HOPE and more than a million 4-year-olds have attended state funded Pre-K programs.
