HENDERSON, TX (KLTV) -

Two women, believed to be behind an East Texas bank robbery, have been caught in Mississippi.

Mississippi police say the mother and daughter robbed a bank in Mississippi, and may be the same women who robbed the Citizen's National Bank in Henderson last month.

On February 28, a woman walked into the Citizen's National Bank, walked up to the counter, and showed a clerk a handgun.

Around the same time, another woman who authorities believe was the get-away driver, walked into this convenience store next door.

According to officials, these two women could be the same women arrested in Mississippi, who are mother and daughter.

"In Henderson, I haven't seen it, we've had other bank robbers, but not female, and certainly not mother, daughter," said Lieutenant Sweeney with the Henderson Police Department.

Evie Mearlene Herrin, 57, and Amelia Darci Crew, 30, are both from Cleveland, Texas.

Authorities say they've managed to rob four different banks; in Texas, Louisiana, and now Mississippi.

Sweeney said they are waiting for a confirmation from the FBI that these are the same women involved in the bank robbery here in East Texas, but he feels certain that it is.

"I don't know what was found at the scene; I would imagine at some point in time, somebody would go to where these people live, and see if there's any evidence there," said Sweeney.

Whether it's the face mask, the gun, the clothing, or the purse, Sweeney hopes the FBI will find something to confirm it's the same women in all four bank robberies.

"One could assume that they do look like what we've seen at the various robberies, especially the one in Sulphur, Louisiana, where the woman's face is seen," said Sweeney.

Henderson police will continue with their investigation, and are working with the FBI to check all evidence that is available.

Both the mother and daughter are in a Mississippi jail on bonds totaling $200,000.
