Suspect shoots at officers during drug search, then surrenders

AUBURN, AL (WTVM) -

Four people have been arrested after an early morning drug search ended in a shooting.  Around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Auburn police executed a drug search warrant at an apartment complex on West Longleaf Drive.

When the team entered an apartment, a suspect with an assault rifle opened fire. The suspect surrendered once the officer returned fire.

Four men were arrested. Theyare: Ivan L. Slavich, IV, age 21; Joshua C. Pulley, age 20: Malcolm T. Robinson,age 22; and Keith R. Brown, Jr., age 21.

Slavich, Robinson and Brown all face marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.  Pulley was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Investigators seized two assault style rifles, about onepound of marijuana and $4,200 in cash.

Slavich also faces four counts of attempted murder.  The four men are being held at the Lee County Detention Center. 

No injuries were reported.
