Lee County among top small communities for economic growth

A new report shows Alabama's Lee County is ranked among the nation's top ten small communities.

The county ranks 5th according to the Fourth Economy Community Index.  It ranks counties with 100,000 to 150,000 residents which are well positioned to bring in modern investments and managed economic growth.

Several factors are taken into account including sustainability and diversity.

Clarke County in Georgia took the number one spot.
