Suspect sought in Winn-Dixie robbery

Columbus police are looking for a silver Toyota Corolla, 2007 - 2012 model, sunroof and black antenna on the back top of the roof center, and possibly having an Alabama tag. COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Columbus Police are seeking the public's help to locate a suspect who robbed a supermarket branch Wednesday night.

Jockas Sancheaz Gilchrist, 28, is wanted for robbery at the Winn-Dixie on Milgen Road on Wednesday night.

Gilchrist and four other males enter the business and fired a shot inside the store but no one was injured. They fled the scene in a silver Toyota Corolla with a sun roof.

Gilchrist is described at 5'7" and 170lbs with tattoos. He should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information on Gilchrist is asked to call Columbus Police Department at 706-653-3400.

    The Mississippi Highway Patrol is looking for a driver who ran away from the scene of a deadly crash in George County. Three children were killed in the crash. Troopers said a green 2003 Kia Optima was heading east on Highway 198, east of Depot Road, shortly before 4 p.m. on Saturday.
