COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Miss Alabama U.S.A. Katherine Webb made a pit stop in Columbus. While in the fountain city she stopped by WTVM studios to tell us about her current statewide tour.

She is gearing up for the Miss U.S.A pageant, and then on to the Miss Universe pageant.

Wednesday she recorded a segment for the fan vote which will take place online. That's where viewers can watch interviews with each candidate.

Katherine Webb explained, "They gave me some general questions like what is a favorite childhood memory of your, or tell us something special or unique about you. It just gives people a deeper glimpse into the life of a state title holder."

The winner of the fan vote will automatically be moved into the top 15 in the Miss U.S.A. pageant. Voting starts May 1st. You can vote at www.missusa.com.
