AUBURN, AL (WTVM) - A federal grand jury has indicted an Auburn man with 16 counts of producing child pornography.

The U.S. Attorney's office says Kevin Golden, 45, was filming young girls changing clothes and using the bathroom at his house over a four-month period of time in 2011.

Authorities also say he filmed himself engaging in sexually explicit conduct with two of the girls while they were apparently asleep.

An investigation against him was triggered after a girl came forward saying Golden abused her.

Golden is currently being held in federal custody pending further proceedings.  A trial date has not been set.  Conviction carries punishment of between 15 to 30 years in prison for each count.

He could also be ordered to spend the rest of his life on supervised release.
