4 arrested after drugs, gun found in home

COLUMBUS, GA (WXTX) -

Four Columbus residents are in jail following a drug bust in north Columbus.

Columbus police arrested Jeremy Lawler, 27, Jennifer Naugle, 31, Harley Castro, 30, and Ruben Garcia, 23, at a home on Aurora Drive Wednesday morning.

Police say they found 468 grams of marijuana, a nearly $10,000 street value, packaged in bags ready for sale. They also found a digital scale and pipes used to smoke marijuana.

Lawler had a loaded pistol in his bed inside the house. Also inside the home police discovered that Garcia's three year old child was around the drugs, which were being sold and smoked. The child was also within reach of a pistol and a shotgun.

Lawler is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug related objects, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Naugle is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug related objects.

Castro is charged with possession of a drug related object.

Garcia is charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a drug related object, and reckless conduct.

All four suspects are being held in the Muscogee County Jail and will appear in Recorder's Court Friday.
