OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) -

A Lee County judge has delayed the robbery trial of a former Auburn University football player.

Dakota Mosley's defense team told the judge it needed more time to prepare for the case, so the trial date has been moved to October 1.

Mosley's attorney, Davis Whittelsey, has confirmed he plans to request a mental evaluation of his client, and also ask for suppression of certain evidence.
