EDITORIAL: On the heels of a lot of bad publicity about the removal of its principal for not following his boss's orders and then his reappointment only a few days later; Columbus High School has scored one of the biggest academic honors any school can get.

Principal Marvin Crumbs was quite proud to have his school along with the teachers and students be named one of the Top 6 high schools in Georgia.   With it also went the first-ever for Columbus High, a Top 300 ranking in the entire country.

US News and World report's annual rankings measure thousands of schools ability to prepare students for college readiness.

With a 97-percent graduation rate last year, it's clear once again that Columbus High School is getting the job done as well as any school in the country.  Nicely done.
