GEORGETOWN, GA (WTVM) -

Quitman County Sheriff Steve Newton revealed that two young girls, an 8-year-old and a 3-year-old, were allegedly abducted by a man in a car around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Georgetown.

Sheriff Newton told News Leader 9 the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to survey the crime scene.  He added the two girls are okay and that the suspect let them go a block away after they began screaming.

Investigators are looking for a black man with dreads, who is about 6'2" and weighs between 250 to 300 pounds.  The suspect is said to have a gold tooth.

Authorities are asking parents to be cautious at this time.
