Two men injured in overnight shooting in Phenix City

PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -

Phenix City police are investigating a Tuesday night shooting that sent two men to the hospital. It happened around 10:15 p.m. on 14th Court.

One of the victims says he was sitting on his car when he and a friend heard gunshots, and realized they had been shot.

Police say Roderick Davis was shot in the left buttocks, while Kenny Preer was shot twice on the left side of his upper abdomen.

The victims say there was a suspect walking by at the time of the shooting, but they did not get a good look at the shooter.

Police say the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening and that they do not have a suspect at this time.
