A Holocaust survivor shared her story with a group gathered at Columbus State University Thursday night.

Cheri Rosenstein spoke at CSU's International House about her earliest memories and life after being adopted by an American family.

She recounted leaving for the United States in 1948 from a Paris orphanage.

Both of Rosenstein's parents died inside Bergen Belsen, a Nazi concentration camp in Germany where an estimated 50,000 people were killed.

Rosenstein is now married and lives in Ohio.  She says her story could have ended in more tragedy, but instead, she sees it as a triumph.
