COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - A Columbus woman won a half of a million dollars playing a scratch-off ticket.
Kenya Passmore, 36, said she just had a feeling that she needed to not only purchase a ticket, but to purchase one from Nick N Dent convenience store at the corner of Henry and Francis Street.
"It didn't register to me," she said. "When I saw how much it was, I was hollering and screaming and shaking. I ran in the house and told my kids."
Passmore said that this was not her first lottery win.
She has also taken home a $10,000 prize not too long ago. She also said that she plans on paying off her home and maybe even purchasing a new home with her winnings.
"The first thing I want to do is purchase a home of my own," she shared. "I want to try to invest the rest."
Passmore is a student studying healthcare administration at the University of Phoenix. She has two daughters ages 13 and 15.
