EDITORIAL: In less than three weeks WTVM, the cities of Columbus and Phenix City will be bringing you the 14th edition of Thunder on the Hooch.

We are proud to offer this event for the entire family to help celebrate this great country on the 4th of July.

Thunder will attract over 40,000 people to both sides of the river and along Dillingham Street Bridge. Scheduled from 5 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. when the area's best fireworks show begins at dark.

As usual there will be fun activities for the kids!

Free entertainment on the Phenix City amphitheater stage and elsewhere. Food, craft vendors and as always thunder is free to attend and is alcohol free.

So plan to join us at 5 p.m. spread your blanket and enjoy dinner and refreshments from a couple of our great supporting vendors.

WTVM produces Thunder on the Hooch as a public service to our citizens with great support from many local businesses and community supporters.
