OPELIKA, AL (WTVM) -

Investigators in Opelika are asking the public's help for clues about skeletal remains of a little girl that were found more than 5 months ago near the Brook Haven Trailer Park.

Investigators worked in a lab to created a 3-D model of what the child may have looked like. Hundreds of flyers, featuring photos of the child's depiction, will be placed on billboards across Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

Officials told News Leader 9 they are, "using as much media as we can to find out the rest of the story."

Late last month, officials revealed the remains were that of a girl of African-American decent between 4 and 7 years old.

The bones appeared to be underdeveloped, which may indicate the child was malnourished. Officials also believe the child was physically abused.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the FBI's office or local police.

News Leader 9 is following this story. We'll have the latest developments on this case as soon as it becomes available.
