DEKALB COUNTY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -

A DeKalb County Grand Jury indicted a DeKalb County father for the murder of his 2-month-old daughter.

Keith Furlow was indicted on felony murder and cruelty to children in the second-degree charges.

According to reports, on June, 8, Furlow gave his daughter a bottle filled with baby formula and vodka.

The baby was rushed to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston where she was pronounced dead.

A toxicology report confirmed a blood alcohol concentration level of .1119.

The DeKalb County District Attorney Robert James told CBS Atlanta that Furlow's 2-month-old daughter's death is inexcusable.

"It is an unconscionable act," James said.

Furlow's father told CBS Atlanta today his son has five children he loves dearly. The father, who did not want to give his name, said he believes his granddaughter's death was an accident.

But James doesn't, and plans to prosecute this case with all the vigor he can muster.

"It's a terrible thing and we are going to do our best to bring about a just resolution to this matter," James said.
