Tallapoosa County man arrested on prescription drugs charges

The TallapoosaCounty narcotics task force has arrested a suspect believed to be pushingprescription pills after a drug investigation.

Alfred Crayton,50, was arrested after police confiscated prescription drugs and marijuanawhile executing a search warrant at a home in Alexander City.

Craytonis facing a slew of charges including seven counts of unlawful distribution ofa controlled substance and resisting arrest.

Investigatorsalso seized $6,600 in cash and three cars.

Thearrest was the culmination of several months of investigations and controlledbuys.
