Arrest warrant issued for suspect in mobile home park shooting

Columbus police have issued an arrest warrant in connection with Thursday afternoon's shooting at the Clay Drive Mobile Home Park in Columbus.

Police are looking for 30-year-old Mario Andrew Williams. Police describe him as a black male, 5'5", and 110 pounds with a shaved head.

Williams is wanted for aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police say the victim, 24-year-old Lavasco Williams, reported that he and the suspect were at the mobile home park.  The victim says they had a disagreement, and reportedly, the suspect went inside, got a gun, and shot him.

Police say the victim was shot with a shotgun with a birdshot round, but his injuries were not life threatening.

The victim was taken by ambulance to the Columbus Medical Center Thursday afternoon and was last reported to be in stable condition.
