Several new businesses opening in Columbus

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Hundreds flocked to Columbus Park Crossing and waited in line for Five Guys Burgers and Fries.

The burger joint that specializes in formed patty burgers, fries and hot dogs opened Monday at 11 a.m and never slowed down.

Jon Wilbur had been waiting there since 4 a.m. Monday morning.

"When I heard that one was opening up in the town that I was in I just couldn't resist going and camping out for the opening," said Wilbur.

Zoe's Kitchen, Cherry Berry, Longhorn's and Sports Clips have recently opened in the same shopping strip.

More developments are coming to Midtown Columbus as well.

News Leader 9 has learned several new businesses, includes TJ Maxx, Great Clips, Baskin Robins and Dunkin Donuts, are moving into the Cross Country Plaza on Macon Road.
