COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

A Columbus man faces multiple charges after leading police on a chase across Columbus State University's campus.

According to university police, they received a call around 5:30 p.m. about a suspicious person on campus. Officers say Brandon Cordero Allison began to fight and dropped a handgun.

He ran from officers and assaulted an university instructor and tried to steal his bike before officers pulled him from the bike.

Allison faces multiple charges including robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and carrying a weapon in a school safety zone.
