Two Fort Benning soldiers accused of causing a deadly wreck after drinking and huffing laughing gas will have their case presented before a grand jury.
According to the district attorney's office, the case against Kyle Ojeda, 28, and Jacob Keller, 20, will go before a grand jury on July 3.
Reports show Keller was driving a 2006 Ford Explorer at a high rate of speed and swerving in and out of traffic last February. He struck an Oldsmobile Cutlass that was waiting to make a left turn. The Cutlass was pushed into oncoming traffic and hit by a Toyota Tundra.
Fifty-seven-year-old Willie Lawrence, a passenger in the Cutlass was partially ejected from the car and killed.
Police testified that both men were under the influence of liquor and nitrous oxide at the time of the crash. They are charged with first-degree homicide.
