HAYNEVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Prosecutors will present a glimpse of their case against a 22-year-old man charged in the shooting deaths of 9-year-old twins and their 73-year-old babysitter.
A preliminary hearing will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Lowndes County Courthouse in Hayneville for Deandra Marquis Lee. He is charged in the shooting deaths of Jordan Dejerinett, his twin sister, Taylor, and Jack Mac Girdner of Hope Hull.
The bodies of the victims were found June 5 near Hayneville.
The hearing will be before Lowndes County District Judge Adrian Johnson. The judge will be asked to decide if there is enough evidence to take the case against Lee before a grand jury,
The prosecution case will be presented by Lowndes County District Attorney Charlotte Tesmer. Attorney Jerry Thornton of Hayneville will represent Lee.
