COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -
The salary for the interim superintendent of the Muscogee County School District has been decided.
During a special meeting, the school board approved a one-year contract for Dr. John Phillips at just over $17,000 a month.
Wow!
That is a lot of money to be an interim superintendent.
Don't get us wrong, I have nothing against Dr. Phillips whom we know and respect.
It is a majority of the school board that is having a hard time keeping our respect.
We have a hard time visualizing that they only have the education of our kids in mind after their recent actions on the board.
