900 lose power after storms

COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - Officials said just more than 900 people in the Manchester area lost power after some strong storms moved through Tuesday evening.

Georgia Power says about 60 people in Columbus are without power mainly around Lochwood Avenue and River Road with some trees on power lines and even some broken power poles.

Officials said some customers could get power back near 11 p.m., but it could take about five hours for the people off Lochwood.

Nearly all customers in Manchester are back on line now.
