(WTVM) - Hoping the 33rd time would be a charm, the House Republicans voted once again Wednesday to repeal President Obama's health care reform law.
Wednesday's vote ended up being more symbolic than anything else, as it appears here to stay for now.
Despite the united front by the House GOP, it's doubtful the measure would make it through the Democratic majority in the Senate. The White House has promised that President Obama would veto any such repeal.
Five Democrats sided with the GOP majority in the 244 to 185 vote.
The law was modeled greatly after the health care reform Mitt Romney implemented as governor of Massachusetts and was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court last month.
Romney promises to repeal the law if elected president.
