TROUP COUNTY, GA (WTVM) - -
A Troup County man was arrested after investigators found almost 250 stolen items in his possession.
Troup County Sheriff's Office Investigators were conducting a probationary check on Cody Ryan Weathers, 25, at 240 Cannonville Road when the man fled on a four-wheeler into the surrounding wooded area.
Meanwhile, a search was conducted of the probationer's residence. Investigators discovered approximately 250 items from reported burglaries and thefts, which occurred at various other locations around the Cannonville Community.
After a lengthy chase, the subject was located hiding in the attic of his residence and placed under arrest.
Weathers is being charged with three counts of burglary, four counts of theft by taking, two counts of theft by receiving, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of methamphetamine.
It is also likely that other charges will follow as this investigation continues.
