COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - The body of the woman found on Thursday afternoon has been identified as Mary Lul Poupart, a Columbus native.
She was pronounced on the scene by deputy coroner Freeman Worley at 6:30 p.m. She was 21 years old.
Columbus Police were called to a residence off of Sims Street near Murrelle Street at 6:15 p.m. Thursday evening. A resident stepped outside to smoke a cigarette and discovered the body in the bushes.
Her body will be sent to Atlanta for an autopsy on Friday July 13. No other information has been released at this time.
