    We're thrilled to report that six of the eight animals we showcased last week have been adopted or placed in rescue groups.  A cat and a dog are still available for adoption.
    We're thrilled to report that six of the eight animals we showcased last week have been adopted or placed in rescue groups.  A cat and a dog are still available for adoption.  Here is a look at today's pets that are in desperate need of a forever home.

Alexandra comes to WTVM from Sterling, CT, a rural community about 1 hour from Hartford and 45 minutes from Providence, RI. 

Prior to WTVM, Alexandra worked for Kraft Productions, in Foxboro MA and hosted a segment on Patriots This Week.

Alexandra grew up in sports, playing soccer, tennis and running track, but the majority of her time was spent in a swimming pool.  A competitive, collegiate Division 1 scholarship swimmer, Alex attended Canisus College in Buffalo, NY and Saint Leo University in Saint Leo, Florida.

When Alex is not working she enjoys running, swimming and furthering her education.

Alexandra has four sisters and parents, John and Anne and a German shepherd named Iris back in Sterling, CT.
