Kim Smith joined WTVM in May 2014 as the Weekend Sports Anchor/Reporter.

Kim grew up in the metro Atlanta area. She graduated from The University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast News, and The College of Family Consumer Sciences with a Bachelor's degree in Consumer Journalism.

Kim later moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she received a Master's in Sport Administration at Belmont University.

During her time in Nashville, Kim worked as a sports intern for the ABC affiliate News 2 while earning her Master's degree.

Eventually, Kim landed in the Mountain West in Denver, Colorado to work at Altitude Sports and Entertainment. She assisted in behind the scenes coverage for the Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche's pre- and post-game shows.

She eventually joined the Raycom Media family with WSFA 12 News in Montgomery, and WDFX Dothan as a Sports/News Multimedia Journalist.

Kim is excited to call Columbus her new home. She is even more excited to cover Auburn University athletics, her beloved Georgia Bulldogs, as well as local college and high school sports.

When she is not working, Kim enjoys working out, traveling, attending church, sporting events and volunteering in the community. Kim loves spending time with her family and friends. She has a passion for mentoring young girls.

She loves to share inspiring stories that showcase an athlete's ability to overcome adversity.
