With these summer temperatures, the furthest thing from anyone's mind is Christmas.
However, the Keep Columbus Beautiful committee is changing that.
On Wednesday they announced their plans for the 2012 Festival of Lights at the Rivercenter.
The committee has already received a donation of a seven-foot pre-lit Christmas tree fully decorated with golf ornaments.
From November 26 through December 1, a forest of decorated holiday trees will be on display throughout the Rivercenter's lobby in uptown Columbus, and you are invited for no cost.
"We really want this to grow and to become a tradition for families to come through the holidays and to kick their Christmas season off," said Robbie Monford of the Columbus Festival of Trees.
