MONTGOMERY, AL (WTVM) - Alabama's first lady is on a mission to prevent domestic violence in the state.
Diane Bentley is teaming up with domestic prevention agencies to help victims and debuted her public service announcement for the Hopeline today.
Hopeline, a project sponsored by Verizon Wireless, collects wireless devices and accessories that are no longer being used.
They are then refurbished and sold with all proceeds benefiting domestic violence victims.
"I encourage everyone across the stage to join in our efforts," Bentley said. "It's an easy way to make a difference and potentially save a life."
