COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Surgeons from the West Georgia Eye Care Center are on a mission to restore sight to the blind in Zimbabwe, Africa.

On Friday, volunteers from Wynnbrooke Baptist Church were on hand to load a container with donated items to be shipped to Africa.

The items included are life-changing lens implants that restore vision after cataract surgery, enabling those who could not work to be able to contribute to their families and community.
