Court date set for accused Tuscaloosa shooter

TUSCALOOSA, AL (WTVM) - A new court date has been set for the man accused of shooting 18 people in Tuscaloosa last week.

Nathan Wilkins, 44, will appear in court on September 7 to face charges that include 18 counts of attempted murder.

Wilkins requested a court-appointed lawyer last week, and WTVM News Leader 9 has been told he has been granted one.

Two victims in the Copper Top Bar shooting remained at DCH Regional Medical Center late Monday.
