Georgia primary elections Tuesday, July 31

(WTVM) - Georgia voters will head to the polls on Tuesday to decide many local and state elections.

One of the biggest items of the ballot is the "Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax," or "T-SPLOST".

There are major elections in the state house and senate, as well as superior court judge. Local elections in Muscogee County include sheriff and four school board seats.

There are 27 voting precincts in Muscogee County, including the Columbus Public Library. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
