Tonight on News Leader 9 at 11

Good Evening, I'm Barbara Gauthier in the WTVM Newsroom.  Here's a look at some of the stories we're working on for News Leader 9 at 11.

Coroner Contest in Muscogee County Up in Air

It's the race that really wasn't!  Current Muscogee Coroner Bill Thrower's name appeared on the primary ballot Tuesday, even though he had been disqualified before the election.  When the votes were counted Thrower had won the majority. So what does that mean for the coroner's contest and where does that leave Democratic candidate Buddy Bryan - whose name was also on the ballot?  We'll answer those questions and let you know what's next for the contest.

Out With Old - In With New on School Board

We'll also hear from two newly elected Muscogee County School Board members who managed to beat out the incumbents.  What are their plans for the school district?

Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day

Did you know it was Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day? Lots of people apparently did as they lined up to "eat more chicken."  The recognition day was declared by a former governor to show support for the fast food chain in the wake of recent fallout over comments made about gay marriage by a Chick-Fil-A executive.  We'll show you what happened at local restaurants.

Join us for those stories and much more tonight on News Leader 9 at 11.
