A Look Ahead to 5 & 6

Good evening. This is Jason Dennis in our WTVM newsroom. Here's what we are working on for the news at 5 and 6 tonight...

We have an update on a bizarre crime in Columbus from last night, involving three suspects, an armed robbery gone wrong, a car wreck, and a man murdered.

A pedestrian bridge that lots of children use to avoid heavy traffic has been taken away, just days before the start of the school year. Stay tuned for a LIVE report on it.

Longer days and shorter weeks have begun for one school system in our area, as students returned to classes today to begin their new 4-day school week. We'll show you where.

And in about 7 hours, a tax-free holiday weekend begins in parts of Alabama. See what back-to-school shopping you can do and avoid paying taxes.

Tell your friends, then join us for these stories and more tonight at 5 and 6!

See ya then,

Jason Dennis
