COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) - With the primary elections over, campaign signs must come down.
Signs that are on city property will have to be removed within five days of the election.
"The five days of the elections that those signs must be place up out of the ground by the property owner," said Greg Coates of Inspections and Code in Columbus. "We will give them that amount of time. In fact we are going to give them until Monday of next week. At that time those signs that are still there we will probably have our specters go out and start removing those signs and place them in the recycling center."
If those campaign signs are on your personal property they don't have to be removed unless you want them to.
If they are on city property, they will be removed by Monday.
