COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -
Twenty three-year old Marvin Cohen is on the run with the Muscogee County Sheriff's Department hot on his trail.
"His original charge was statutory rape which led to the failure to register charge. His last known address was 16 Estes Drive; it's the last place we tried to reach him. When our sex offender crew went out to try to make contact with him they couldn't make contact with him," says Muscogee County Sheriff Deputy, Jeffrey Hackey.
Cohen is 5'10" inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. Police believe he is still in the area hiding out with friends and family. Deputy made it perfectly clear that the search for Cohen will not end until he's caught and placed in jail.
"It's not just our sex offender crew but I'm pretty sure that the actual deputies that we have on the road are actually keeping an eye out for him as well," says Hackey.
According to Sheriff Deputies, Cohen is not considered dangerous but they want him off the streets, and only you can help make that happen.
If you know the whereabouts of Marvin Cohen you are asked to call the Muscogee County Sheriff's Department at 706 653-4225. And remember, you don't have to reveal your name.
