WHITE HALL, Ala. (AP) - 1 of the gambling machines manufacturers that had games seized in a raid on White Hall Entertainment Center in 2009 has agreed to let the state attorney general's office destroy the machines.
Attorney General Luther Strange's office also said Friday that the hall's operators have agreed to let the state keep nearly $550,000 in cash that was seized.
Multimedia Games Inc. agreed to the destruction of 65 machines in return for being dropped from the litigation over the raid in March 2009.
That was about two-thirds of the machines seized in the raid that shut down White Hall Entertainment Center 20 miles west of Montgomery.
The operators, Cornerstone Community Outreach and Freedom Trail Ventures, voluntarily forfeited the $549,981 seized in the raid. It goes to the state General Fund.
