TIFTON, GA (WTVM) - Damage from severe weather that worked its way across Georgia last week is still being cleaned up.
Tifton city leaders say they are working fast to come up with money to repair roads critically damaged by flash flooding last week,
They voted to use $520,000 in SPLOST revenue to repair bridges and sections of roads that are still closed.
"It's gonna be real strong," said A.C. Woods, homeowner. "They are going to lift that bridge plumb out and make it like it ought to be."
Late yesterday, workers with southern concrete construction were out assessing the site. They plan to start the project today.
