Georgia jobless rate increases in July

(WTVM) - Trying to find a job in Georgia may be a little harder.

The Peach State's unemployment rate increased to 9.3 percent in July. That's up 3 tenths of a percentage point from a flat 9 percent in June.

Officials cited a large number of temporary layoffs in manufacturing as a factor.

The jobless rate was 10 percent at this time last year.
